PEP results

The PEP project combines teacher training and exchanges of good practices in language teaching with piloting new courses and strategic discussions for implementing Professional English Programs.

In the application we wrote that the goal of the PEP project is to develop capacity for Professional English at the six universities in Mali, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso. We are well on our way to do so!

In short, the PEP project, so far, has:

  • trained 13 teachers in English teaching
  • developed a pilot course for oral communication in English
  • strengthened the capacity for 92 students to communicate in English (1st pilot course).

Next step will be to develop a course in written communication.
